This Actuator Will Add Power Lock and Unlock Features to a Vehicle Without Power Locks, and is Usually Used During the Installation of Alarms or Keyless Entry Systems. The Actuator Responds to Electrical Signals from the Alarm or Keyless Entry System and Physically Moves the Vehicle's Door Locking Rod to a Locked or Unlocked Position. Absolute Power Door Lock Actuator Features a Clutch Drive System That Provides Super-Smooth Operation Without Adding Tension to the Manually Driven Door Lock Lever

This system is Quite Simple. A Small Electric Motor Turns a Series of Spur Gears That Serve as a Gear Reduction. The Last Gear Drives a Rack-and-Pinion Gear Set That Is Connected to the Actuator Rod. The Rack Converts the Rotational Motion of the Motor into the Linear Motion Needed to Move the Lock.
